Advising for Academic Success equips TRIO professionals with evidence-based advising strategies that strengthen persistence and empower student ownership. Participants will identify key academic risk factors, apply prescriptive, developmental, and intrusive advising models, and use SMART and GROW goal-setting frameworks to create actionable degree plans. Grounded in TRIO program requirements and APR documentation standards, this hands-on session provides practical tools and templates to improve compliance, retention outcomes, and long-term student success.
