About This Course
LEAD-101: Foundations of TRIO Leadership & Administration is a foundational leadership course designed to prepare current and aspiring TRIO leaders for effective program oversight, institutional alignment, and federally compliant administration. Grounded in the TRIO mission and federal expectations, this course introduces participants to the core competencies required to lead high-impact TRIO programs within complex educational environments.
Participants will examine leadership theory through the lens of TRIO practice, explore governance and decision-making structures, and develop practical tools to support program operations, staff supervision, and strategic planning. Emphasis is placed on aligning leadership practices with TRIO regulations, institutional priorities, and student success outcomes.
Through interactive discussions, applied case studies, and guided artifact development, participants will strengthen their capacity to lead with clarity, accountability, and purpose across all TRIO program contexts.
